Leon, the predecessor was much better
We recently went in a small group and we all loved it. A selection of the finest wines and incredibly delicious food. In addition, friendly and committed employees. A place to feel good. We would love to come back.
MoreBig French-influenced cinema. We as gourmets were completely thrilled. Everything was just right. Thank you for the great evening. Very fair price-performance ratio in one of the most expensive quarters in Germany
MoreReally great ambience and even better food! Highly recommended, also thanks to the very friendly and courteous service!
MoreGreat ambience, friendly service and very good cuisine. In addition, a real Berkel ham cutter, we were absolutely thrilled.
MoreThe food is really excellent (still a bit too expensive), but unfortunately the poor service spoils the experience significantly. The crew is very nice and courteous, but drinks, like almost everything, take forever and tables are only cleared after a very long time (and then only a little at a time). It is incomprehensible to me how in such a small place can be served so inattentively. Fortunately, only half of the tables were occupied - full occupancy must mean maximum frustration for the guests. Essen & Ambieten I would give 4 stars, the service with a lot of goodwill and hope for improvement still well meant 2nd pity.
MoreWe were there yesterday on Valentine's Day and had the 4 course menu for € 49 plus € 20 for wine accompaniment. The service was very inattentive, nice, but completely overwhelmed. The starter was a small salad with 4 thin avocado slices ('Avocadocarpaccio'). Ok, but nothing exciting. Then a thin lobster soup (‘cappuccino’) in the glass, which tasted mainly of water, with 3 rubbery little pieces of lobster. The main course was delicious, veal cheeks, but quite a small portion of meat. Unfortunately, we didn't experience the dessert, creme brûlée with ice cream, because of the following incident: I went to the ladies' room in the basement after the main course and then the door no longer opened. I was locked in for about 15 minutes, in a panic, until I could draw attention to myself with screams and knocks and the door was opened from the outside with tools. Apparently that had happened to someone before, I heard - but they didn't fix the lock. I wanted to go home immediately. I was offered a glass of champagne on the house, but I was too upset and couldn't sit down as if nothing had happened. We were charged full price for the 2 menus, only 2 bottles of water were not charged. I would have expected a lot more accommodation. We will not be seen there again.
MoreUnfortunately, a disappointing visit! On a Friday, we had booked a table and enjoyed a memorable evening with a difference. cool and the very little hospitable reception we took with wit, what followed was, however, not very pleasant. The waiters were totally overwhelmed and to get any water, we had this even at the bar to pick up - after nearly 15 minutes. When we after about half an hour after several attempts got a waitress at the table was the next disappointment. Because we could only order drinks, but no food. So we had to wait another 30 minutes for drinks. As we noted already on the basis of waiting guests to us that we have to adjust to long waiting times, we wanted as quickly as possible to give up our order - unfortunately without success. After about an hour we were finally able to order, and then had to wait another hour until we got our main course. I do not want to drag on and just say that we could convince no gear the report. Towards the end of the evening the restaurant owners and chef probably came from a game of concord. The young friendly chef was totally overwhelmed and the waitress did not apologize for the long wait, but only repeated constantly that it was just fair and therefore so much is going on. So how please the fair as an excuse? The number of chairs and tables were not brought by the guests, hence the effort required has been estimated. A visit I would recommend to anyone, although the wine list was very convincing, but the extremely long waits and overburdened staff are an exclusion criterion.
MoreOur experience was rather mixed. When saying we can choose a table, one assumes that there are more than two to choose from. Service is a bit strange, a mixture of arrogant and badly organized. The starter was good, but it would be nice if a tartare tasted like meat and not exclusively like capers, so you should leave the composition up to the guest and not mix all possible ingredients with the meat in advance. The main course with truffle pasta was unfortunately not at all convincing. Tasted little of truffles and was otherwise rather tasteless. The pasta was very al dente. Price performance with 25 € per person absolutely not justified. All in all, the service was friendly but not well organized even with an average number of guests. Everything takes an unnecessarily long time, from the food to the invoice (when I submitted a voucher, I was allowed to calculate the remaining amount myself, even though I submitted the voucher before the invoice was issued). I've worked in service for a long time myself and have never seen someone have such a bad overview. Despite the waitress announcing that I would bring them to us, I picked up the jackets myself after 10 minutes. In addition, the waitresses are not too good to start discussions with the guests on topics that are absolutely none of their business, such as advising against a gin and tonic, which is available, but this is a wine bar and the statement that toxoplasmosis is more likely a hysteria is a real danger and you don't have to restrict yourself when eating it as a pregnant woman. Just as the guest would have to order something that wasn't on the menu, but two minutes beforehand the other waitress had told him about the dish as outside the menu. Here the guest is not in the foreground and the dishes are not appropriate for the high price level, the same applies to the hopelessly overpriced wines.
MoreVery tasty food and good wine selection
Expensive, poor quality and terrible service.
The food was very good, but I have to deduct two stars, because we had to wait about 20 minutes on our second drinks and just under 40 minutes on the bill, also the service seemed a bit overbearing.
MoreTwo friends and I went to lunch Wednesday at the Allgaiers. Already at the beginning we were welcomed very warmly and could sit at a table of our choice. As a starter we shared the Vitello Tonato, which especially in combination with the delicious bread, which you get at the beginning, tasted very delicious. For the main course we ordered 2x the truffle spaghetti and a Wiener schnitzel. We were all very happy with food and service. There was nothing to complain about and all in all it was a lovely lunch with great food and great atmosphere. We will come back :)
MoreGreat place, delicious food, fantastic wines. The atmosphere is loose and pleasant, which does not change the fact that the restaurant is elegant. Still, there is no embouchure in it.
MoreDelicious food, great wines and top service in a relaxed and nice atmosphere. Recommendation factor 100%
MoreFriendly, competent and exceptional
Welcoming, nice location, nice terrasse, a bit long to be served despite the few clients at the time. Choice is not incredible. If you like mushrooms, you probably will enjoy it more than if you don’t as many dishes contain the ‘delicious’ fungus. Fish was really good (rice would have been good as a side dish because mushrooms only is a bit light), spaghetti were tasteless, foie gras duo was good. They have 2 types of beer, but by default they bring you the one that I would not have selected. Question of taste of course and since I’m unable to give you the names of the beers, I’m not of much help here, although I would recommend you ask to appreciate your experience from the beginning. Seem to have a nice wine selection but we didn’t try. Overall, it is expensive.
MoreGreat food, great wines. Highly recommended.
Nice atmosphere, nice Michelin beach.
The Allgaiers convinces with perfect service; very attentive and friendly. The ambience is very nice. Unfortunately the food and especially the waiting time could not convince
MoreFood and wine is the motto and is perfectly fulfilled.
Lovely lunch place, easily impressed overseas colleagues who declared it was the best lunch they had all week.
MoreNice decor, a little too "open" for our taste. Very good, varied and refined dishes. Reservation is definitely advisable. The service could be a little more attentive.
MoreLovely ambiance, delicious wild mushroom risotto, friendly and attentive service. Highly recommend!
MoreThank you for being with us!
We will call you back!
